Flowering Space

For creativity to bloom, the writer must offer themselves flowering space. They must have a practiced, comfortable access to the unconscious within themselves that allows creative thought to seed and sprout, eventually to bloom. In this way stillness is the writer’s ministry.

The requirements:

• Show up.

• Be willing to open, empty and allow.

• Hush the critic. Insist they go out for tea.

• Begin.
